TDIU & Presumptive Conditions Tools

Two of the most overlooked paths to the benefits you earned: unemployability (TDIU) when conditions keep you from working, and presumptive conditions where VA presumes the link to service. These free tools help you screen for both and find your next step.

Frequently asked questions

What is VA TDIU?
Total Disability based on Individual Unemployability (TDIU) can pay compensation at the 100 percent rate when service-connected conditions keep you from holding substantially gainful employment, even if your combined rating is below 100 percent.
What are presumptive conditions?
Presumptive conditions are conditions VA presumes are connected to certain service or exposures, such as burn pits under the PACT Act, Agent Orange, or Camp Lejeune water. For these, you generally do not have to prove the service connection the usual way.
Are these tools official VA determinations?
No. They are free, independent, veteran built educational screeners. They do not decide eligibility, file claims, or guarantee an outcome. Confirm everything at VA.gov or with an accredited representative.
