Trust & Editorial Standards

By the VetClaimsGuide Editorial Team · Updated June 2026

VetClaimsGuide is an independent, veteran-informed educational platform built to help veterans organize and better understand VA disability claim information. These standards explain how we create our content and tools, and the commitments we hold ourselves to.

How we create our content

Our tools, checklists, and articles are built around publicly available VA guidance, including VA.gov and the federal Schedule for Rating Disabilities (38 CFR Part 4). Content is drafted and reviewed by the VetClaimsGuide Editorial Team and written in plain language so veterans can understand it before speaking with an accredited professional. We aim to explain how the VA process generally works, not to predict or influence any individual decision.

Our editorial principles
